We collect information you provide directly (name, email, payment details), information generated through your use of the service (generation history, URLs processed, video outputs), and technical data (IP address, browser type, device information, usage analytics via PostHog).
We use your information to provide and improve the VidMaker service, process payments, send service communications, analyse usage patterns to improve AI performance, and prevent fraud and abuse. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Your data is stored securely on Neon PostgreSQL (EU region). Generated videos are stored on Cloudflare R2 with a 30-day expiry unless you download them. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. Payment data is never stored on our servers.
We use third-party services including Cloudflare R2 (video storage), NOWPayments (crypto payments), PostHog (analytics), and various AI model providers for generation. Each provider has their own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. EU/UK residents have additional rights under GDPR/UK GDPR including data portability and the right to object to processing. To exercise your rights, contact privacy@vidmaker.xyz.
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use analytics cookies (PostHog) to understand how our product is used. You can opt out of analytics cookies at any time via your account settings. We do not use advertising cookies.
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Generated videos are stored for 30 days by default. Usage logs are retained for 90 days. If you delete your account, your personal data is purged within 30 days.
We will notify you of significant changes to this privacy policy via email. The latest version is always available at this URL. Your continued use of VidMaker after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
